  Disgusting! I came here tonight with my year old German Shepard. We went to the Bryn vets 4 weeks ago and they was lovely and helpful but as they couldn't fit my dog in today they asked if I could take him to golborne. Whilst sat in the waiting room I was talking to the other dog owners who were saying how lovely and unusual my all black German Shepard was whilst one little girl was stroking him. We was then called in to see the vet, I talked him through what happened 4 weeks ago with my dog and that the same thing has happened again. I than began to place my dog's front paws onto my chest so that the vet could see his problem area on his belly, once I put him down my dog gave a little growl at the vet guarding me. The vet then chucked a muzzle over the desk and told me I needed to 'put that on the dog'. I explained he wouldn't bite he never has and hr never will he is a security dog this is what he is trained to do and he is guarding me. , like any other dog would do. I was struggling with the muzzle on how to put it on the right way, he then snatched it off me and said 'HERE LIKE THIS!' Showing me actions very aggressively and telling me to pull my dogs lead very tight. Once everything was sorted out in the room I then went out to pay at the reception. Again the vet came back out and said 'lets see how he is now', as if my dog has a problem or as if he was making my dog more anxious and scared than what he already was. Again my dog took a step back and growled whilst I was stroking him. He told me 'you shouldn't stroke your dog like that' again, I explained for the third time that he is a security dog and that is what he is trained to do he is a guard dog. He told me to only bring him back if he has a muzzle on. I haven't put in that amount of time, effort and money training him to do things what a security/police dog does to then tell him off for guarding and doing what those dogs do best. You would never see police dogs being brought in with muzzles on so why is it any different for a young woman who's dog does the exact same job. Absolutely disgusted with how I was spoken to and how my dog was treated today. The vet clearly needs to research about security/police dogs and maybe see myself and my dog on our walks everyday or even in the training field. You should try and watch your CCTV to see the little girl stroking him in your waiting room and whilst your at it, work on your costumer care. Would not recommend!!
